MULTISPECTRAL UAV SYSTEMS

The MSUAV line of products include a MSC2 mini multispectral camera and a tiny SBC-1 computer designed to work seamlessly together.  MSC2 mini multispectral cameras are available for a variety of spectral ranges and uses.  The SBC-1 computer offers powerful computing capacity, excellent energy-efficiency, and an ultra-small form factor.  A flat USB3 cable is supplied with the system to enable separate mounting of camera and computer to the UAV frame.  The computer is fully configured with camera control and capture software and a user-editable configuration file on the included SD card.  Images are saved to SD card during operation.  Image capture can be started and stopped on demand using the pushbuttons on the side of the SBC-1.

DESCRIPTION
MSC2 MULTISPECTRAL CAMERAS
The MSC2 snapshot multispectral cameras use a high performance 4MP CMOS sensor modified with Spectral Devices proprietary multispectral filter array technology. These miniature multispectral snapshot cameras simultaneously capture images at 4 or 8 distinct bands. There is no requirement for additional filters, filter wheels, or tunable filters. The spectral information in all bands is captured simultaneously by the multispectral sensor. MSUAV systems come with acquisition software pre-loaded and pre-configured on the SBC-1. The MSUAV systems are able to continuously acquire and store multispectral images for more than 2 hours at 2 frames per second. No additional software is needed for operation. Power to the MSC2 cameras is supplied through the USB3 interface. The MSC2 cameras are ultra-compact, ultra-light, and designed for demanding UAV imaging applications.
SBC-1 VISION COMPUTER
The SBC-1 is a turnkey solution for running Spectral Devices MSC2 series multispectral cameras. The SBC-1 offers powerful computing capacity, excellent energy-efficiency, and an ultra-small form factor for UAV applications. The SBC-1 includes 128GB flash storage, pre-configured 32GB micro SD cards, and USB 3.0 and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. Users can view multispectral images as they are acquired through the HDMI port in real-time. Wireless transmission of multispectral images is available using optional add-on hardware. The SBC-1 comes packaged in a CNC-machined aluminum case for passive thermal management without the need for fans.
SOFTWARE
SOFTWARE PRE-LOADED
All drivers and software needed to capture images to a micro SD card are included and pre-configured. SBC-1 is easily controlled using the side buttons and LED indicators. Operation requires the following steps: (1) insert pre-configured micro SD Card into the SBC-1; (2) power the SBC-1; (3) when ready, press the start/stop button to begin acquiring images; (4) when finished, press the start/stop button a second time to stop acquiring images; (5) power down the SBC-1 and remove the micro SD card; (6) move the micro SD Card to a laptop or mobile device and view the multispectral images. Camera configuration is straight-forward using a simple text file on the micro SD card. Users can set the exposure time, interval between frames, auto exposure, hardware triggering, camera gain, plus many other options.
